Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, has inaugurated the new office of its Central Maintenance Cell (CMC) as part of efforts to streamline and strengthen maintenance services across the university campus.
The new office was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof KP Singh. Under the new arrangement, personnel responsible for electrical, plumbing and civil maintenance services across the university have been brought together at a single location.
The centralised system is expected to improve coordination and execution of maintenance-related work on campus. It will also facilitate faster response to complaints and ensure timely resolution of essential maintenance requirements.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof KP Singh said the integrated Central Maintenance Cell would accelerate maintenance operations and improve coordination among different departments. He added that a more organised maintenance mechanism would contribute to the smooth functioning of the university’s academic and administrative activities.
The centralised facility is intended to provide a single point for coordinating electrical, plumbing and civil works, thereby reducing delays in addressing maintenance complaints and improving the overall efficiency of campus services.
Registrar Mahendra Kumar, Central Maintenance Cell Coordinator Dr Atul Katiyar, Co-Coordinator Deepak Rana, Prof Sanjay Garg, Prof Vijay Bahadur Yadav, Prof Yatendra Kumar, Prof JN Maurya and Prof Naveen Kumar were present at the inauguration.
Officials and employees of the Central Maintenance Cell described the new arrangement as an important step towards making maintenance services at the university more systematic, responsive and effective.
